It’s a lockdown



Happy mothers’ day to all who celebrated it yesterday in spite of the COVID 19 rampage all over the world. Thank God for those that have reached out to appreciate mothers; it simply disappeared off my calendar. I believe I am not the only one. So many are in the same boat being at home and the days have just merged into one.

Thank you also to people that have shared links on how to keep children occupied during the lockdown. Being at home with children can be hectic; it is the time we value the time teachers spend with them, but it is also a blessing.  It is a time we can get to have those conversations and have meaningful family time. I pray God will give us wisdom to use this time productively. It could change so many dynamics in our homes.

Below are some links that I received and hope will be useful for you either as a woman. wife or mother. I really look forward to using the audiobook link and have already downloaded a book.
The President has just finished addressing the nation here in South Africa. He announced a three-week lockdown. As stringent as it may seem, it is for our own benefit. I have watched some projections and I believe it is better to be safe than sorry.

While on lockdown, let’s think of constructive things to do. Please share with me. Above all, we need to be prayerful at this time. The situation is unprecedented and we all are playing it by the ear. If there ever is a time we needed God, it is now.

Let’s keep in touch. Thank God, the virus isn’t contracted through phone. laptop etc. Keep active at home. Take time to rest. For some this is a strange word, perhaps it is time to know what it means. Social distancing and the lockdown will take its toll on small business owners who need to make daily sales. Let’s keep them in prayer.

The Lord will see us through this time in Jesus' name.

Pray For Nigeria

  I am one of those who believe that Nigeria will one day rise from her comatose state to being the giant of Africa not just in name but in deed. I cannot blame those who have given up on the nation. The horrors and killings we live through at home and the disgrace we endure abroad have done nothing to inspire much needed hope. So far ... getting lighter

I am happy to inform you that I am one kilogram lighter than I was last month. The huffing and puffing is beginning to pay off. I have not lost as much as I would, but I am definitely not where I was before I started this journey.  I counted at least 10,000 steps everyday. Some days I had the required number before noon and I struggled on other days, but I did not miss a single day in one month. I began walking around the neighborhood and I was delighted to meet many people along the way. People are becoming more health conscious. I saw young and old, men and women a whole family, couples, and singles. What a delight! The weight I have lost is not apparent physically, but it is a boost to my mental wellbeing.
